VivierTM VitalizeŽ Medical Peels - FAQ

The VivierTM Vitalize PeelŽ - clinically proven to increase collagen and epidermal thickness.

What you need to know about the Vitalize PeelŽ:

For best results, it is advisable to avoid sun exposure and the following products and procedures at least one week prior to your treatment:

  • Electrolysis
  • Waxing
  • Depilatory creams
  • Laser hair removal

Use of the following products should be avoided 2-3 days prior to your Vitalize PeelŽ:

  • Any exfoliating products
  • Any products that may be drying or irritating, including prodcuts containing salicylic acid, AHAs (including glycolic acids) and products containing Vitamin A or retinol

Shaving of the area to be peeled should be avoided on the day of the treatment.

How long will this take?

From start to finish, the entire procedure should take approximately 20 minutes.

When can I schedule my next peel?

The Vitalize PeelŽ is gentle enough to use every three weeks for maximum benefits and a glowing healthy start to your skin care regimen.  Ask your medical skin care professional when to schedule your next Vitalize PeelŽ.

Is this type of procedure safe?

When performed by an experienced and qualified physician or esthetician under a physician's supervision, the Vitalize PeelŽ is a safe procedure.  Be sure to talk with your medical skin care professional prior to your peel and always disclose your full medical history.  Always follow your medical professional's advice before and after procedures.

Who is not a good candidate for a Vitalize PeelŽ?

Patients who should avoid the Vitalize PeelŽ include:

  • Patients with a history of allergies, rashes or other skin reactions or anyone with an allergy to salicylates (e.g. Aspirin or anti-inflammatories)
  • Patients who have taken AccutaneŽ within the past year; or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Patients under the age of 12
